MicroSIP is a simple-to-configure program for SIP calls (internet calls). MicroSIP does not require any installed codecs, as all codecs are already enabled.

You can download the softphone here. On the website, two versions are available – you only need to download the lightweight version, as the full version includes additional features you don't need, such as video call support.

Before starting the configuration, you need to create a SIP account in your Ringostat personal account.

You can read about creating a SIP account at this link.

Installation and Configuration on Windows

When you first run the program, you need to configure the account settings. In the top right corner, click the button with the arrow to open the settings list.

In the window, select "Add Account".

In the opened field, enter the data from your SIP account, which your manager provided or which is available in your Ringostat personal account, in the Virtual PBX --> SIP Accounts section:

Parameters to fill in:
Account name – your account login name;
SIP server – the registration/gateway server from your personal account;
Username – the SIP account login from your personal account;
Domain – also the SIP server from your personal account;
Login – your SIP account login from your personal account;
Password – your SIP account password from your personal account.

Then click Save. If all the data is entered correctly, the account in the bottom left corner will light up green, and the Online status will be displayed.

Call Transfer

By default, the softphone settings are set to a single call mode. By unchecking this mode, you can manage multiple calls, perform attended or blind transfers to numbers, or create a conference call.

To perform a blind transfer, you need to call the desired subscriber (or accept an incoming call) and click Transfer.

Then, in the pop-up window, dial the desired number or select one of the previously added contacts.

To perform an attended transfer, you also need to call the subscriber (or accept an incoming call).

Then, put them on hold and dial the second subscriber. Then click Transfer and select Attended Transfer.

Additional Features

Additionally, in MicroSIP, you can:

  • Add contacts;

  • See the call history and statuses in a separate Calls menu;

  • Make a quick call by double-clicking on a number in the Calls or Contacts menu;

  • Change the ringtone;

  • Enable local recording of conversations in mp3 or wav format;

  • Configure the microphone and codecs;

  • Set the STUN server;

  • Configure headset support and many other parameters for working with calls.
