Creating a trigger for tag activation
In the workspace of the GTM container, please go to the Triggers page and click New:
In the new window, please add a name and click the Trigger Configuration field:
Next, you should select Trigger Type → Custom Event:
In the configuration window, please enter the name of the event that you specified in the function settings in the Ringostat panel.
The activation condition depends on the goals you would like to achieve (for example, it is possible to run the trigger only on selected pages).
By default, the value is set to All Custom Events.
Creating a tag activated by a trigger
Please go to the Tags page and click New:
Please add a name for the tag and click the Tag Configuration field:
The next configuration depends on the specific goal. Google provides access not only to its own services but also allows integration with many other systems, as well as the ability to execute custom JavaScript code.
In practice, it is sufficient to set the trigger that activates the tag, and then define its configuration:
After adding all the necessary tags, please publish the changes you have made.
