Configuring SIP devices consists of 3 steps:
creating a sip account in your project;
setting up the created account on your device;
network settings in case of problems.
1. Creating a sip account for connection
To receive/make calls via Ringostat, you need to create SIP account.
2. Recommended settings
After creating a SIP account, to be able to receive/make calls, you need to register it in the SIP client. To do this, you need a login, password, domain Ringostat PBXSIP account, and SIP application/PBX. Below are examples of settings for mobile vs. desktop SIP clients.
2.1. Recommended settings and codecs for SIP phones and SIP clients
Login- SIP account name
Password - Appropriate password
Registration server – sip.ringostat.com
Port of registration – 5060
STUN server status– enabled
STUN server – stun.ringostat.com
STUN server port - 3479
Preferred codecs- g.711a (alaw), g.711u (ulaw) in priority. Then there may be GSM, OPUS.
DTMF transmission method- rfc2833

3. Network settings for SIP telephony
For SIP telephony, the recommended minimum internet speed is 128 kbit/s for each call.
