Poster is a cloud-based POS system for automating food-service and retail businesses: cafés, restaurants, bars, bakeries, and stores. It is designed for business owners and managers who run an online cash register, inventory, finances, and a customer database.
The integration with Ringostat allows you to:
create a new customer in a specified group if no customer is found by phone number;
create an online order (incoming order) with the product selected when configuring the integration;
set up smart forwarding of an incoming call to the manager responsible for the order;
display the customer's full name and a link to their card in the Ringostat Smart Phone app;
make one-click calls through Ringostat Smart Phone.
Connection and Setup
The integration is configured individually by Ringostat specialists. To connect it, contact the support chat and provide the setup details.
Details required for connection:
Poster access with the “Administrator” role: login, password, and the URL of the Poster portal; OR a personal Poster access token (Web REST API).
Entities that need to be created, and the data required for this:
Customer: the name of the customer group in which to create new customers.
Order:
product ID (the product identifier in Poster that will be added to the order);
product price;
product quantity;
establishment ID (the point of sale in Poster where the order will be created).
2.1. Scenario for creating an Order:
create a new Order for every call;
do not create a new Order if the customer's number already has an open one;
disable Order creation (only the Customer will be created).
3. Full name of the senior integration manager.
Please note: for entities to be assigned to the correct managers, they must be added in Poster CRM with the same full name as in the Ringostat account.
Where to Get the Access Token
The personal access token is obtained in the Poster account: Management Panel → Access → Integrations (the “Integration access keys” section → “Third-party application integration”).
How the Integration Works
When a call is made from or to the number of a new customer, the entities selected during setup will be created in Poster: a Customer and an Order.
Customer
A Customer is created only if no existing customer is found by phone number. The phone number must be unique — the system does not allow creating two customers with the same number.
When a Customer is created, the following fields are filled in:
Required: customer name (client_name), customer group (client_groups_id_client);
Optional: phone number (phone), email (email), address (address), comment (comment), sex (client_sex), date of birth (birthday), and so on.
Order (online order)
For each call, the integration creates an online order in Poster. One product is added to the order, which is defined during the integration setup — it is not possible to create an Order without a product.
Each Order is always assigned to a Customer:
if a Customer already exists in Poster by phone number → the new Order is added to the existing customer; a new customer is not created;
if no Customer is found by phone number in the CRM → a new Customer is created, and the new Order is added to them;
if no Customer is found and their creation is not configured in the integration → the Order is not created.
In Poster, you can see this by clicking the "call" icon and then viewing the "Orders" in either the "Personal" (mine) or "All" tab.
By clicking on an Order, you go to the table with all the receipts (orders), where you can accept this Order. Once accepted, it becomes a regular receipt, and the Customer is also automatically created in the linked pair.
Smart Forwarding
How it works: an incoming call is forwarded to the manager responsible for the Order, based on the customer's number in Poster.
One-Click Calls through Ringostat Smart Phone
With the Ringostat Smart Phone app, you can call customers in one click directly from Poster — just click on the phone number.
This feature works through the Ringostat click-to-call extension for Google Chrome. How to set it up is described in this article.
Integration with Ringostat Smart Phone
The integration with RSP makes it possible to pull the Customer's full name, along with links to the entity in Poster, into the Contact button. The links are displayed in the RSP widget during a call.
