Outbound call settings

Written by Eugene Zastup

The outgoing communication settings allow you to create a more flexible and optimal outgoing call routing scheme for your project and reduce the cost of outgoing calls.

Available settings:

  1. Set a static outgoing number for each SIP account.

  2. Set a static number for outgoing calls to specific regions and destinations.

  3. Set a static number for a department.

  4. Configure combined outgoing communication rules.

  5. Restrict outgoing calls for selected SIP accounts.

  6. Configure call billing through your carrier.

You can configure these settings in the “Virtual PBX” → “Outgoing communication settings” section.

To quickly find the required settings, use the filters above the list of rules: “All rules”, “For caller”, “By destination”, “Combined”, “Short number”, and “Needs attention”. The number next to each filter shows how many corresponding rules have been created.

Restricting outgoing calls for SIP accounts

This can be useful if you need to restrict outgoing communication for certain managers while allowing them to continue receiving incoming calls. The restriction is easy to configure:

  1. In the “Outgoing communication settings” section, find the “Restrict outgoing calls for SIP accounts” block.

  2. Select the required SIP account from the list. You can select more than one account. Then save the settings.

Please note!

All rules work according to priority, from the first rule with the highest priority to the rules below it.

For example, you have configured several outgoing call rules for SIP accounts and one general outgoing call rule based on destination. If the rule with a single outgoing number is placed first at the top of the list, it will have higher priority in all cases, including outgoing calls from SIP accounts for which separate rules have also been configured.

With this configuration, calls to Ukrainian numbers from the SIP accounts banirngstua_walle and banirngstua_forward will also be made from the single outgoing number 380XXXXXXXXX. Calls to other destinations will be made from the numbers specified in the rules for each SIP account. If you need outgoing calls from SIP accounts to use the selected numbers for all destinations, move those rules higher in the list to increase their priority.
